Residual chlorine analyzer ECOMETER

Application
ECOMETER Chlorine-Analyzer is the element of a chlorination sytem, that can measure the contents of free chlorine in the water with the help of a chlorine-sensor. This information will be forwarded to the ECOMAT controller, that controls the chlorination process. A simple, two-point control can be executed by itself as well. This unit also receives various signals (voltage and current) of a pH measuring unit, and it measures the water-temperature.

Measured free chlorine value is then compensated by these parameters. It has two analog outputs, (voltage and current) and data can also be accessed digitally. The chlorine-sensor cell consists of two metal rings, separated by an isolation ring. One of them is goldplated, and the other one is made from copper.

Free chlorine contents of the water generates current in the wire that connects to the two rings. This current generates voltage on the variable shunt-resistors at the input stage.The unit stores all the data and ajustments in a non-volatile memory (EEPROM) so they do not disappear even if it is switched off. IP 65 Protective housing makes the unit suitable to be applied in corrosive or wet environment.
